 Key responsibilities:

• Play a pivotal role in our wet lab
• Planning, and conducting experimental work in protein engineering including DNA library generation, performance of high-throughput screening assays and validation of enzyme candidates regarding plastic-degrading activity 
• Protein expression, purification and characterisation
• Maintaining records of experimental work

Skills, qualifications and experience needed:

• A Master's degree or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biophysics or related field
• Experience in DNA cloning and purification, DNA library design, in vitro mutagenesis, protein expression, purification and characterisation
• Interest in high-throughput screening and liquid handling systems (desirable)
• The drive to work both independently and collaboratively, with strong organisational skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
